Maj Gen (Dr.) Raman Kumar Marwaha - President
Maj Gen (Dr) Raman Marwaha was the former Additional Director, Senior Consultant & Head, Department of Endocrinology and Thyroid Research Centre, Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences, DRDO, Ministry of Defense. He was also the President of the Indian Society for Bone & Mineral Research (ISBMR) and is presently member Scientific Panel on ‘Nutrition and Food Fortification, FSSAI and Scientific advisor (Projects), International Life Sciences Institute (India) and Advisor Projects, Department of Endocrinology, AIIMS, New Delhi & BR Sur Homeopathic College. He has been a Commonwealth and WHO Fellow in 1985 and 1987 respectively and acquired a Fellowship in Molecular Endocrinology in 2000. A pioneer in the field of endocrine research, he has more than 145 publications national & international papers published in highly reputed journals. He has delivered several prestigious orations. He has been honoured with several national awards and recognition for his original work in the field of endocrinology especially endocrine imaging, Vitamin D deficiency and thyroid disorders.
Gp Capt. Naresh Wadhawan - Vice President
Gp Capt. Naresh Wadhawan is a retired Air Force Officer. He superannuated in 2008 after almost 34 years of service. He was primarily involved in various capacities for the maintenance of fighter aircrafts and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). From 2002 onwards, while still in service, he started doing voluntary work with an NGO called Sukarya, based in Gurgaon for improvement in the health standards of the girl child, young and lactating mothers. He also works for promoting women’s entrepreneurship and livelihood through SHG’s (Self Help Groups) and community-based health education.
Lt. Col (Dr.) Satish Kumar Mathur - Secretary
Lt Col (Dr) Satish Mathur served in the Army Medical Corps for 23 years (1971-1994). Post retirement, he established a Thyroid Centre at Munirka, New Delhi. He is a fellow of American College of Clinical Endocrinology (FACE) and Master in Hospital Administration (MHA) from AIIMS. He has been associated with various charity organisations for providing free medical services to the poor.
Mr. Nilamber Marwah - Treasurer
Mr. Nilamber Marwah is a former officer of the Customs, Excise & Service Tax department. He implemented the service tax when it was introduced in 1994 in North India. He, then took voluntary retirement and started his own practice in 1996. He is a former specialist member of Working Group, Central Board of Excise & Customs and a member of Regional Advisory Committee and Public Grievance Redressal Cell of Service Tax Commissionerate of Delhi. He has conducted more than 200 seminars for practicing Chartered Accountants of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and is a guest facility at the National Academy of Customs, Excise and Narcotics
