Dr. Marwaha’s vast research experience over the last three decades in the field of Thyroidology, Bone Mineral Metabolism and other Endocrine disorders motivated him to address critical unfinished work in endocrine diseases of national Importance faced by Indians.
He realised the lack of awareness as well as the criticality of micro nutrient deficiencies like Vitamin A & D , Iron, Folic acid , B complex etc which are prevalent in vast majority of Indian children.In view serious health consequences associated with these micronutrient deficiencies Dr Marwaha with FSSAI is making all out efforts to fortify common foods like milk, oil, rice, wheat , flour etc with these micronutrients so that the benefit reaches majority of Indian children.
The unfinished work in Endocrinology motivated him to establish SEHEAC which would bring together experts from different fields of medicine to undertake research projects of national importance and to disseminate knowledge about Endocrine disorders to physicians and general public through webinars and seminars.
